Buying Kids’ Stuff in Spain – Toys & More

Every time you go shopping with kids in tow you’ll hear the inevitable “can I have one”, but if you can bag a bargain then it won’t be so painful when you get to the checkout till. Or better still, go shopping online for toys, games and more to help to keep your sanity in check. We’ve included in the info below both bricks & mortar stores as well as online bargains. Remember to check the dates for each offer and see if there are any birthdays or other celebrations coming up so you can buy early and save a few euros.

However, with electronic games make sure you check the terms & conditions as not all items are eligible for export. Also remember that items may be delivered separately.

[tab title=”Almost free“]If your kids know or are learning Spanish, then why not get the sets of index cards offered by Planeta de Agostini – Winnie the Pooh for younger kids for only 1.50€ (includes free measuring chart also) and the Human Body (Cuerpo Humano) for older kids at 0.95€. [tab title=”Educational“]The Imaginarium store in Spain is not very cheap, however they do have a good selection of educational toys, games and books. Their website has an online outlet with good reductions but delivery is only free for orders of over 120€ if you’re a member of Club Imaginarium (free). If not a member then you’ll have to spend 150€ to get free delivery or pay 4€ if you collect in store or 6€ if delivered to your home. With Club Imaginarium there’s an additional 5% discount if you have a Familia Numerosa card (see how to get one in our article).[/tab]
