Amazon doesn’t claim to have the cheapest prices, but promotes its website as a “one-stop shop” for all your needs. Take advantage of the different ways you can save at Amazon Spain.

Compare Prices

Before buying at Amazon Spain it makes sense to compare prices online for more expensive items. When using a comparison site remember to take delivery charges into account or check prices directly on store websites.

Delivery Charges At Amazon Spain

Amazon Prime members get free delivery on lots of items, but not on everything. Delivery costs depend on the amount you spend and your location, with cheaper options for pick up points and Amazon Lockers. Access your account and add a local pick up point to use for future orders.

It can often be a good idea to add another small-value item to your basket to get over the threshold rather than pay the delivery charge.

Amazon Prime

Try Amazon Prime free for 30 days and get unlimited one-day free deliveries for items sold by Amazon (not third party sellers) to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands (Canary Islands: 5-13 days).

Prime costs 36€ per year, or 4.99€ if you pay monthly. It’s worth signing up if you make several purchases and to get access to other Amazon services.

Students get a 90-day free Prime Student trial. Afterwards membership is half price (18€/year) until they graduate (or for up to 4 years).

Prime Video

Prime Video offers hundreds of free films and series and also new in 2020 film rentals and purchases. Rentals last for 30 days, once you start viewing you have 48 hrs to finish before your rental expires.

Multiple language and subtitle tracks vary by movie and series. Download the Prime Video app on your laptop, tablet and phone to access content wherever you are, even if offline (need to download content previously).

Audible Stories

Listen to audio books available in six languages. The service in Spain is being rolled-out, expect more content to be available in the upcoming months.

Amazon Supermarket

Great for heavy and/or bulky items, Amazon Spain’s supermarket offers non-perishable foods, drinks and cleaning products. Free 1-day delivery is available if you’re an Amazon Prime member.

Watch out for “Producto Plus” items – these are low value items and can only be included with larger orders.

Subscribe and Save Service

With their Suscríbete y Ahorra service you can get discounts on items that you buy often, along with free delivery. With 1 subscription you’ll get 5% off or with 3 subscriptions get 10% off.

Choose the items and frequency, get email reminders and confirm or cancel deliveries. Prices are NOT fixed, but in the email sent out before delivery you’ll be informed of the current price for each product on your list.

Prime Now

Amazon has started to roll out their Prime Now service to selected cities in Spain. Free same-day delivery is available, purchase threshold varies by location.

Newbies can normally get a 10€ discount on their first order.

Amazon Pantry

Only available for Amazon Prime members for non-perishable pantry staples:

Add 15€ of Amazon Pantry goods to your basket.
Get a 5€ discount for 90€ spend.
Pay a flat rate of 4.99€ for delivery (even for Prime members)
Occasional promos with free delivery from time to time.

Finance your Purchase

Amazon, via Cofidis, offers finance to repay in four payments with interest. Available for purchases from 75€ to 1000€, choose “Paga en 4” shown next to the credit card option (only Visa and Mastercard).

You’ll need a scanned copy of your ID ready to upload and you’ll be informed whether your request for finance has been approved. At this time you’ll be shown the amount of the four payments.

Kindle Unlimited

Get a 30-day free trial to Kindle Unlimited for access to over 1 million titles in different languages. Once your trial has ended, subscription costs 9.99€ per month.

There are no limits on the number of books you can read and you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Refurbished (Renewed) Items

All refurbished items offered by Amazon have been fully checked and also include “open box” items (haven’t been used, but can’t be sold as new). All come with a full 30-day return period.

As well as electronic items you can also find music, DVD’s & blu-rays, home appliances and toys.

Amazon Spain Outlet

Don’t assume that Amazon Spain’s outlet prices will be the cheapest, it pays to shop around. View items on offer in any of the 18 different departments or by customer rating.

Artisanal products made by craftsmen and women, sold via Amazon. Also includes personalised goods made to order.
