Change your boiler and get money back (Madrid & Valencia)
In order to avoid possible fraud, the scheme is not a direct subsidy on the cost of a new boiler and its installation but is a bank transfer made once the authorities have checked out the details of the new boiler (efficiency rating), the details of the old boiler and that it has been scrapped (the installer will certify this).
MADRID
Offer valid for both gas and oil boilers and can be used by both homeowners and small business owners.
The cashback is 255€ for gas boilers and 400€ for oil boilers, with a limit of 300€ of the cost of the boiler (including installation). Amount will be increased by 500€ if underfloor heating is installed.
The new boiler must be at least 20% more efficient – the installer will guarantee this when he removes the old boiler.
Normally the installer will take responsibility for requesting the cashback to your bank account. This could take around 6 weeks to be completed.
Offer ends: 10 April 2012 or until funds depleted.
Possibility exists to increase the cashback with Gas Natural Fenosa, Madrileña Red de Gas or Galp Energía.

VALENCIA
Offer valid for both gas and oil boilers with the following cashback:
- 250€ for high efficiency gas boilers
- 400€ for gas / oil condensing boilers
- 500€ for gas condensing boilers with emissions under 70 mg/kWh
The amount of cashback cannot exceed 25% of the total cost of purchase of the new boiler (boiler and installation, without sales tax)
Offer has been extended (originally due to end in 2011) until 30 April 2012.

The boiler scrappage scheme is known as “Plan Renove Calderas” – however, watch out if you go on to a website with this name or similar, even with the .org extension, as they’re actually commercial websites.
