Mini-break in the UK even cheaper – just plan ahead

So, you’ve got the cheap tickets (we all know Easyjet or Ryanair), you’ve got the cheap hotel (hotels.com and 100’s of others) but what about when you’re there?

Around 10 days before we went, we checked out the deals at restaurants (especially 2x1 offers) in London. For the restaurants we looked at what days the deals were on and then found the addresses of the nearest one to where we would be on particular days.

For the stores we just printed out every voucher that we might use - we even cut out a voucher for Debenhams from the newspaper in the hotel lobby!

The best sites for vouchers we found were:

Money Supermarket: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/vouchers/. Here they also give you the possibility to search by area.

Money Saving Expert: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/. As well as the usual restaurant and store vouchers you can also find deals on trips, cinema tickets and much more.

So, with an investment of around 90 minutes it was well worth it. Although I have to confess that with the money saved I probably spent it on extra shopping!
